Valor is a characteristic that describes how much and how well your character has participated in PvP battles. It is gained from fighting other players, usually in battlefields, and from some associated quests. When a player obtains a certain amount of valor (which increases with each rank), they gain a rank. Some items and features require a player to have a certain rank.
